News Flash  All face to face activities have been temporarily suspended during the Covid-19 crisis. However, we are continuing to hold 'virtual' weekly rehearsals at 7.30pm each Monday, using Zoom. If you would like to join us for these - especially if you are local to Warwick and may wish to join us physically when we are able to meet again - please get in touch. [See the Contacts page.]

We are also experimenting with making recordings as a 'virtual' choir. We will make these available via YouTube once we have perfected the process.

SYNOPSIS

The Two Castles Male Voice Choir, which is Warwick's only male voice choir, was newly formed in March 2018. The Choir is open to all men living in and around the Warwick District, and we are actively looking for new members (see Membership page). The Choir meets for rehearsals at the Racing Club Warwick FC premises in Hampton Road Warwick  each Monday evening from 7.45pm to 10pm under the direction of our young enthusiastic Musical Director, Kieron Howe. It is currently about 30 strong - with a blend of First Tenor, Second Tenor, Baritone and Bass voices - but we would be happy to increase that to 50 or 60..

We aim to maintain a high standard of musical performance, even though many of our members do not read music. The choir, many of whose members have come to us from another recently disbanded choir, has an extensive repertoire, both of traditional male choir pieces such as Welsh hymns and operatic choruses and of more modern syncopated items. Our MD has plans to extend that into other genres.

[For details of our predecessor choir, please click on this link.]

The choir stages concerts in halls and churches in South Warwickshire - either on its own or in conjunction with other local choirs or artistes.  We are a Registered Charity and, in addition to raising money to cover our own costs, many of the choir's concert activities are concerned with raising money for other local or national charities, and we also provide entertainment for the residents of retirement homes from time to time.

We are always pleased to receive invitations to give performances in our locality. If you would like to discuss the possibility of a concert, please see the Contacts page. Please note, however, that we do not provide after-dinner entertainment.
